Spilling The Beans on Anna Maria Island’s Best Coffee

One of the best things about Anna Maria Island is that no matter how popular it may get in the season, it always seems to maintain that friendly small-town feel. We believe a large part has to do with the lack of name-brand chain restaurants and the city’s commitment to supporting small business.

For tourists that means a couple of things: venturing outside your national go-to’s and no Starbucks. This opens up a world of opportunity in trying some of our great small businesses! Throughout the coming weeks we’ll be highlighting a guide for some of the best local restaurants and hot spots.

Now that the weather has dropped to below 80’s for a bit and it’s officially acceptable to switch your iced coffee habits for something a little warmer, we’re starting with a guide to some of the island’s best coffee.

There a plenty of wonderful places to grab a great cup of Joe on the island, so we’re spilling the beans on a few spots that specialize in coffee from across AMI:

The Donut Experiment
210c Pine Ave, Anna Maria

The Donut Experiment has gained major attention and a major following because of their creative way to serve custom donuts. Their in-house coffee is worth notoriety as well, as they offer delicious specialty coffee flavors!

Ginny and Jane E’s
9807 Gulf Dr, Anna Maria

The longtime local staple, Ginny and Jane E’s, offers a full menu of tasty coffee drinks and fresh bakery treats daily. The store, bustling with interesting antiques and unique gifts, gives you plenty to look at while sipping your coffee or tea.
